Our family life was very exciting at the start of 2007 .Tony and I had some very exciting news to tell our children. So we told them we were going to be having a baby in August. There little eyes were so beautiful and all the exciting words they had to say about their Baby arriving were awesome to hear.
Tony and I loved our children's reactions.Max was excited to hopefully get a brother and not to be the baby of the family anymore.Katelyn hoped for a sister and wondered where baby would sleep.

So we had lots of questions to answer and lots of plans to make.Lots of fun.

Then come the NT scan at 12 weeks as I had just turned 35.And we were very excited to see our little person moving and dance about.

Then a few days later Bec(midwife) rang to say they were abit concerned about the results and wanted to do some tests.Oh my (our) world started to crumble.

My thoughts were right lets get theses tests done now,but no we had to wait.I hate waiting!!
1 week to see the specialist, then another 3 weeks to have the tests. Then the day of the test come.I could hardly breath.
Then he said there wasn't enough fluid, lets do this next week.I nearly exploded. That meant another 3 weeks until we got some results. And we were going to be in the South Island for Dads wedding. We got to go to the wedding but had to come home 3 days early.

We got back and had the test.We were told results would be back in 2 weeks.

Katelyn and Max were begining to notice we were going to the doctors alot and were starting to ask questions.

The doctor rang me 5 days later with very confusing information. We didn't know if it was good or bad news.He wanted us to go for more tests in 8 days time.Oh and your baby is a little BOY.More reason to bond with with Our Little Boy.

More waiting and no sleeping and more questions from friends and family.

Our results in Wellington were our worst nightmare.

Our Baby Sam was Stillborn on 21 March 2007.
We love you so much Sam.

Life is so harsh.

Why Sam?Why us?Why anyone?

Rest in Peace my Sweet Little Man.

Lynda,
That was a very heart wrenching blog post and it can't have been easy for you to put a little of how you were feeling on paper.
They say that time heals all wounds and I'm thinking that it is going to take quite some time.
Thank you for sharing. Thinking of you. Take care.

Oh Lynda, I only just returned to your blog after a great long while, only to find this... I am so very very sorry for your loss. I don't know what to say.
Now I feel even more horrible for not stopping to talk to you and Janine on Saturday night when I was rushing around at the hotel.
You and your family will be in my thoughts, trying to come to terms with the tragic loss of Sam. I'm sorry.
