Can you believe we have already shared 10 fabulous days of recipes? I’m so loving them all this year and I have been quick off the mark to make quite a few.
Today we share a lovely boiled fruit cake recipe from Lynda Manning in NZ. I personally love a boiled cake recipe -the cake is sooo moist and delicious. While I am not a fan of fruit cake the rest of the family is so I will have to give this a whirl for sure.

Lynda says “Please don't tell my Nana Dossie my Dad likes it better than hers!! LOL. My hubbie isn't much into Christmas cake but he always asks for this cake for Christmas!!

Scrapbook Corners Retreat!!

We sure had a AWESOME time at the first ever Scrapbook Corner Retreat at the weekend.
We all meet at Stoneycreek Camp just 20 minutes away from Taradale.
Janine and Roger put on a great time for everyone!
We were all warmly welcomed and showed our cabins.Then we got stuck into our passion......Scrapbooking....painting...drawing!!!!!
And Talking!!

Checkout the beautiful view.It is such a beautiful and relaxing atmosphere!We were treated like Queens.Mark and his team treated us to beautiful and health food.Endless food.It just kept coming at us.And we had NO dishes to do!!NO cleaning!!Queens I tell you!!

Here is Janine and Mark having a giggle!!Mark was our photographer as well!!!Jack of all trades!!He is such a trooper!!!He had to use a few camera's ,as you can imagine with that many scrapbooker's around.LOL

Mark is now doing the draw for second prize in the awesome raffle!

Great family time!!Cute cousins, they have all just got out of the bath (oh that was a mess in there after all their fun)LOL.So they decided to dress-up.Cowboys,Shopping Queen and Angel!!
Lori sure does like sing star!I have got some very funny video for her 21 Birthday.She liked the feel of the Mic on her tongue and licked like an Ice Cream.So funny.

Max is teaching her to dance.

Lori had lots fun at the park with Katelyn and Max!!

We have had a great time this past week!!Dave(my Brother),Erin and Lori arrived for a surprize visit.Only Mum and Tony knew they were coming.
So last Sunday we had to take Lori to Marine Parade Park for a play.Get a Ice Cream at at 'Lick This' at Marieland.

Fun times here for Max with Dad,playing on the tipping surf board.

Breakfast time at the Manning's with the Bradley's!Are't they all cute.

We had to bake Lori a Chocolate Chip Crown cookie.Katelyn ordered a crown too and Max went for a Plane cookie!!Oh these's kids are so cute!!

Hey where did my cookie go Katelyn!!Don't eat eat it.Poor Lori had a terrible time trying to keep her Dad away from her cookie.She calls biscuits ,Piscuits.So cute.

Max and Tony called me this morning to see the Sunrise!!It look so beautiful,rising up through the fog.It's hard to believe that the Marine Parade just behind the the grape vines.Napier is such a beautiful place to live.I love living here,where Tony built a beautiful home.And we are having so much fun planting a beautiful native garden.I must take another photo of the native hedge,we planted it just over 2 years ago and it is growing so fast.We have really noticed a big increase of native birds hanging here in our garden.They are so beautiful.

Pot-Roasted Chicken!!

Today is Max's first ever "FUN DAY" at school !!And we got woken up to him yelling it's 'My Fun Day'.
We nearly had a heart attack.
We baked Chocolate Chip Biscuits last night for his shared lunch.He took a board game to play.They also painted lots today.

He is very tired now.
He is also 'Student of the Week' , to add to the excitement.In this photo he is standing front of his
'Student of the Week' poster.

This is what Max choose for Kate's Challenge over SBO!!I think he likes stickers.As you can guess I had to put some back.

Kate's challenge was to let someone esle pick the photo and product to use in a layout.

And of course both my children wanted to play.So I have 2 more layouts done,that's got tobe a good thing.

Here's Katelyn what choose.She wasn't happy when I said I had to do the layout.LOL

"Tickled Pink" is Katelyn playing in the garden at Grandies and Gail's after doing some farm work.

"King for a Day" is of Max just over 12months old in Nana Den's garden for a photo shot with Shayne.Poor little guy wasn't very well.But he still looks so cute!!

Katelyn and Max thanks for helping Mum with my scrapping!!You Guys Rock.And next week we can do some scrapping together!!Yippee only 4 more days to the holidays!!

Here this some shot's from my Dad's bull.
This year it was held at Feilding Sale Yards as Dad has sold his farm.
We had a great day bar having to say good bye to Dad and Gail as they are shifting to South Canterbury.Big bummer.
The sale went well.

Here we all are ready to go out for dinner a few weeks ago .Don't we look cute.

We have been so busy putting the wood in the new wood shed.Check out my Singlet Gang.I think wearing a singlet like Dad means you are a very hard worker.LOL.And guess what Katelyn and Max did work very hard.Thanks guys.

The view of Dobel from School ,this is where we are walking to today with the Year 2's.
Sorry all my photo's have gone all out of order.

TODAY we went up Dobel Reserve for "Our Special Places" study.We climbed up the top to turn around and check out our beautiful community.The year 2 children have been learn about their school and community.It's been very interesting to find out much the children knew and very funny.I was working in a Year 1 class the other day and they were asked 'what does Mrs Roberts do?'(She is the school nurse at lunchtime).1 of the children said she is the fix it lady in that room.So cute.

Oh check out the autumn tree in the middle of this photo and just behind it is our class and next to it is Max's class.And the children are just running back into class after morning playtime.

Anyway I work in a Year 2 class aswell and I went as the photographer and the back leader (which means make sure no one gets to far behind).And Max is in the classroom next to mine, so we got to check out some of the beautiful views of Napier together.I loved all his question's........ not one of them was about our community........they were all about would there be deer over in that bush or do you think there are rabbits up here.So funny ,I so love him.

Max has been busy these's holiday's.He wanted to make traffic light jelly. So we set to and made the jelly.He wasn't so good at waiting for the jelly to set.LOL.

So here's his recipe:
Lime Jelly
Pineapple Jelly
Strawberry Jelly
Strawberries
Flake bar.

So you would think that I have 3 cute kids happy eating Traffic Light Jellies??

But no my children decided they don't like Jelly.

Very Lucky for the very Cute Mackinley, as he was very happy to have 3 of them to put away.LOL.
And yes this is me on the digger!I am busy trying to dig the trench for the power cable to go into ,for Mum house at the front of our house.

Boy are these's little toy's hard to drive.Good for a laugh!!!
Katelyn and Max are bird watching here, at the back of house.They are watching a mother Puekeo(sp) and her babies.

We are so lucky having this steam at the back of our house.We see so much wildlife in here.Ducks,White Herions,Grey Herions and lots of Hawks.Great place to play on the Kayak too.

We have also been doing alot of cycling lately.On Sunday I rode 32 kms.It was great.We are very lucky here in Napier as the councils have been doing lots of cycle tracks everywhere.I biked from Napier to Houmoana and back.And Tony and the kids did from Clive to Houmoana and back to Clive.
I do not like being on the road with other Traffic,it is so hair raising.Some people have no idea.

Well I better get on with the sewing.Katelyn wants to make a hand bag.Will be lots of fun.I hope!i HAVEN'T LET HER LOSE ON THE SEWING MACHINE BEFORE.

We were invited to do a mini album in EMILY FALCONBRIDGE style.Emily does amazing create work.
I did one of her classes a few years ago in Wellington.She is a really neat Lady and so talented.

I have had a great time painting stitching,masking,handwriting,using odds and ends and using Jac paper to stick my old favourite shirt to the chipboard.

It is hard to beleive Max use to be this small.But he was.5 pounds and 3 weeks early.Now in 17 more sleeps he will be 6.

I have used beautiful ribbon up the truck and machine stitched it on.Fold small flowers for the birds tails.And machine sewn the stem to the flowers.

I love these's photo's of Katelyn and Tony.I did this for a friday night challenge at the Sketch Book a few months back and I won a great RAK from Scrappin Patch.

I love this photo of our home and the rainbow above it.And I sure do love Pink Paislee papers.

We have just had a wonderful holiday in Oz .As my darling hubbie Tony has just turned 40.And he wanted to have a family holiday on the Sunshine Coast and the Gold Coast.

3 generations of Manning plaster's.Not quite.But Tony is the 3rd generation Manning Plaster.So cute our little people loved that their Dad was on TV.They were so proud of him.Morning talks at school.
Does doesn't the fireplace look so cool.I am so proud of Tony.He was under alot of pressure doing this job,which he did in 3 days in a row ,which should have taken abit longer.And not being able to get everything close to his work area.Lots of heavy equipment and product.

Tony is modeling the Tee's we had made for the Mucking Show.
We had a few made as Tony's Dad and Brother Steve helped and Katelyn and Max wanted 1 each.Oh and hats,a must in Sunny Hawkes Bay.LOL.All good to help with self promotion.LOL.Fun thing was the paver guys had done the same thing and had choosen the same colour T-shirt.Funny.
So here is the Firth's Outdoor Fire Place starting to take place.It all comes in casted sections ,which have to be put on a foundation.Each section has to be put over steel which is cemented into the foundations.So this is a very heavy and tricky job,lifting such big heavy section up over the top of the steel.Then the fire bricks are placed.
Here is Tony on the left,his Dad Harold in the middle and his brother Steve on the right.The guys in the background are the pavers.LOL.

Now for some reason blogger doesn't like me uploading to many photo's at once and I am going to try and add the rest without having to do lots of post.LOL.
No sorry can't seem to do it.

Ok so this morning Katelyn, Nana and Marion(our lovely next door neighbour) head off to a local high schools annual big book sale.
Nana spent $85 and Marion $15 and Katelyn just helped to make Nana's bill high.LOL.

Anyway this beautiful little girl brought books for everyone.Max got some animal and cars book's ,Dad got rugby books x 2.And Nana got lots of her fav's authors(about 30.)

Anyway check out what Katelyn choose for me.LOL.But look closer at the ones she is holding.I nearly snorted when I saw them.Funny.
I can so see why she choose them.She was going by there colour and design.So my daughter,nice colours and flowers.
Can you read the covers...Adultery...The Clothesline Diet Club and Wives and Lovers.I am so keeping these's and wrapping them up and giving them to her when she turns 21.LOL.
So Sweet and only 8 and half.Katelyn I Love You so much Honey.You crack me up every day.
Nana you are so not taking my children to a video shop!!!!!!!Can you imagine what they might come home with.My Mum had not even noticed what Katelyn had choosen until she gave them to me at home.LOL.Tony nearly wet himself when he saw these books.

Yup I haven't been here for ages.But I have been getting lots done.I have ticked off quite a few jobs.And I have also been kepted busy with working at school.Which I am loving.It so rewarding.

We have been busy doing lots of little things helping family lately.Dads bull sale which is 3 days of hard work.But lots of fun.I love being on the farm.It's so relaxing,oh thats when you aren't making 10 loaves of sandwiches.LOL

I did get these's great photo's of Katelyn and Max wear My Grandad Gordie's hat which I love very much.I hadn't seen my Grandad's hat for over 21 years and it brought back lots of good memories.I haven't journalled the layout's ,as I am going to ask my Dad to do that for me.

This layout is Tony and I enjoying a nice cold beer at Cardrona Hotel.Very cute Hotel.We had a great time there.Katelyn and Max loved the gardens and playground.

Max look's abit like a little old man here.LOL.
He is so cute and proud.

This is me helping Tony on Mum's new house we are building for her at the front of our house.

I haven't blogged for a quite a while.

I have just been and checked out Scrapbook Essentials Friday Challenge and its great as always ,thanks to Megan.

The challenges is to have a bird on your page,2 patterned papers and a 5x7 photo.

Some of the Ladies said they didn't have any birds in their stash,so I wanted to share these little owls that I made with my finger prints and a few lines.Katelyn,Max and I have been creating these's alot.They are so easy and lots of fun.

OMG..What a funny morning.Firstly I grabbed a quick coffee with J and had quite a few laughs with her.Then I went back to school and helped with writting in Max's class.Oh 5 year olds are so cute.And serious!!!

One of the little girls was meant to be writing a story.First she got her book and wrote out her story from the day before.Funny.I said "Oh you need to write a new story today".Her reply was "I like to copy".So cute.

Then she said she would write a poem and I said that would be awesome.So then 2 minutes later I found her copy a poem from there poem chart.LOL.10/10 for thinking.

Then Mum and I went bra shopping.Well this was all quite and well behaved until we shared a fitting room together.The fun we had.The sales lady was awesome help.But I do think she thought we were crazy.
We did have a real good giggle.
And thanks Mum for buying my bra's for me.Your the best but you did know that.

Day 4 of Janine's Challenge:
Going to school today for the first time in 2008 was very special for Katelyn and Max as I woke up to the sounds of them making their lunch at 6.15am this morning.They were dressed,bags packed,hair not done by 6.30am.So cute.Please keep up the great excitment for school for rest of the year my darlings.
And here they have their new school bags.
Our special place for today was the swiming pool.And yes the kids did have a swim before it poured with rain.And the rain was great for us too.Napier is queit dry at the moment.

Ok my special things today are my beautiful earthy vases Tony gave to me for a birthday present about 4 years ago.He told me they were for our entrance in our new house and that's where they are now.I did have to wait 3 years to place them there.Thats ok because good things take time.And our home Tony built is awesome.
Now this is something we did today,well mainly Tony.He was up very early this morning to head out to his work site , because it was for Mucking In and he couldn't be late.He needed to hear the rules and all the safety speech.Funny.I hope you listened well Honey.LOL.

Overall he had a great day.Just had to tell one man he knew what he was doing and to please go help someone esle.LOL

Funny thing 2 other companies working near Tony had the same colour shirts on.Oh bugger.That didn't work.

I am very proud of you Tony.Way to go.

OK I haven't been here for along time.But I have been having fun with my children for the holiday's and with Tony before he went back to work.We went camping at 2 different spots and had a blast.I will tell you about that later.

I have joined a challenge that Janine has put on her blog.So I have taken 2 photo's.The first 1 is going to be something I have done that day.And the 2nd is special place or something specail in our home or garden.

So today I have been getting these's hats and T-shirt's together.Because tomarow Tony is going to be on the "Mucking In" show.He will be building a Firth's Outdoor Fireplace.He is so clever!!!Oh and so nervous!!
He will be fine.

And yes I have ironned these's since taking the photo.

Katelyn and Max are so proud of there Dad.And so am I.
Special Place Number One : is Sam's Place and this is very special to the whole family.We all go there to chat to him and sing to him,cry,give flower's to Sam or just say "Hi Sam".

Yesterday, a year ago was the day I answered the phone to my Midwife Becky.She had some news that worried us for the next 8 weeks.She said to me we need to run more tests.

Oh no my Baby is nearly 5!!!!!!!!!!Someone please stop the world!!
Max is on his school visit here to room 13 at Taradale Primary School.He really enjoyed himself.They made a little turtle each,their 5 new little people visiting.

We all are very busy here building a pirate ship for Max's birthday Party from a Fridge box.Wow it turned out great.I will have some more pictures soon.

I am going to take a break now for lunch and I will be back later to catch up on rest of November's fun.

Katelyn's school had a Halloween Night Disco.So she dress-up as a Mummy.Doesn't she look so great.She won the best dressed prize for the girls. I was so proud of her.She was so brave.She sure got alot of attention.That frecked her out abit.

We have started Max and Katelyn at athletics for the summer and they are loving it.I love going down and watching enjoy themselves.So cute and so determined.

We have spent alot of time around at Mum's house , I pulled up the old carpet while Tony tiled the kitchen,entrance ,laundry and dining room.I also packed alot for Mum so the Painters could come in and get started.Tony spent a couple of days stripping wall paper.I overhauled the gardens ,as they hadn't been done for ages.
2 weekend's ago I cleaned for two days and dressed the house to go on the market.And spent 2 more days on gardens and garden sheds.Talk about cleaned out.But all is great as it went on the market last Tuesday and sold on Saturday.Awesome Mum is so happy.So she is really enjoying her time down with Dave,Erin and Lori.

I turned 36 in early November and I have started to get on to losing some weight.And so far so good.Lots more to do.

Mocca's on the move, to her new home,it's getting to hot to hang here anymore.So checkout what Dad has done for Mocca.

We think we might call it Cafe Mocca.

The next morning got some shade cloth and put it over half of the crate and planted some climbing roses ,grasses and other climbs around to gave her some protection.I must go out and take a photo of the finished Cafe Mocca.LOL

Labour weekend we baked some Awesome cookies for our friends Euan,Aaron and Amy.

We went to check out this wonderful spot we are going to go camping in the summer holiday's and we also had a lovely picnic there with Dave and Shelia and the kids.Max and Euan didn't get wet but poor Katelyn slipped over and got a wet muddy bum and wasn't impressed at all in her new birthday clothes.

This is Lori checking out whats going on out the Lounge window.And what a view it is.It morning tea time for this very cute Hereford calf.

Isn't she lucky have that view out her window.I loved growing up on our farm ,it was so much fun to and help with all the farm jobs.Feeding out,tagging new calves,shifting mobs and checking lambing ewes.

Dave works so hard on the farm you often find him here with Lori.LOL

The farm is huge compared to the farm we had when I was growing up and I couldn't get used to the huge pack of dogs Dave has for the farm.Feeding time was like a 3 ring circus.And there is 3 more that aren't in this picture.

This is my favourite photo of Katelyn from her sleepover night.The girls all made their own pizza.They loved it.

Then the next night we had a paddock party with our next door neighbours, the party was for them shifting to their new section and their new home warming.And later in the evening we found out it was Marion's birthday in the morning so there was cake too.The children thought that was great ,as you can see.

Senz South was great!!!!!This is one of the l/o's I did and I still haven't finished.I really enjoyed meeting Michelle,Tanya,Vicki,Julie,Gaye,Michelle(mich).We had a great time and lots of laughs at the crop that Tanya arranged for us.The days went to fast and it's hard to do classes and shop with limited time.
I lefted Christchurch early Sunday morning to visit Dave(my brother),Erin(SIL) and Lori(MY NIECE).
I just had the best time.It was so good to catch up with them and just spend time 1 on 1.Because we are so far away from them it's aways so crazy when we catch and it seems its the kids who get all the time with them.But I got to be greedy and hog them.I sure missed Tony,Katelyn and Max.I have never been away from them for 6 days before.

Lori was at such a cute age.We had lots of fun.She is just so beautiful.

46 Days since I was last here:Ops.

What have I(we) been doing?Good question.

*We celebrated Tony's birthday, at Lonestar,it is so nice there.Max and Katelyn love it.

*We celebrated Katelyn's 8 th birthday and she had 4 friend stay the night in the lounge.Lot's of fun and laughs.I will put some photo's up soon.

*About 24 hours after Katelyn's friend's went home we discovered Katelyn had Nits for the first time.Yuk.What a massive job they are.And I had to ring all Katelyn's friends Mum's to tell them.(And I can't believe that not 1 of them got nits.They were all in 1 big bed together.Thank goodness.)

Oh and I was heading South in 4 sleeps for Senz,Tony sure was left a big job to handle.And he did a great job.I love you Honey.

*We had a great birthday for Katelyn,we had another cake and her favorite dinner and she loved her present.A CD player for her room ,oh and of course High School Musical CD.She went crazy,we choose a great present.

I will continue this after coffee later today.Busy morning we are heading to school earlier this morning to take food to pack the bus for Christmas.We need to be at school at 8am.Eek.

Here's our darling at sunset outside her new kennel,that we got on TM.Awesome as we didn't have time to build one for Mocca.We are going to build a run soon.So at the moment she is outside our bedroom.I want to plant some tree's in her run so she has shade in the summer.so there's another job on our list to do.Build garden,plant tree's down driveway,Plant the stone gardens at front and at outsde area and outside dinning room window.Oh and finish painting.Yuk.

Well better go start icing slice for kindy meeting tonight.And cook dinner early as we have Brownies tonight and that means lots of running around after school.

Saturday morning and we went to pick up our beautiful Chocolate Brown Lab from Robyn.Thanks very much Robyn.This is Katelyn and Max meeting puppy.Oh they just loved her.She is so cute.

This is my layout for this weeks double layout challenge at Scrapbook Essentials.I finished it late last night and I am much happier with this photo that I took this morning.The one in the gallery is terrible.I will just have to get my layouts done earlier so I don't have to take the photo's at night.

This is my layout for this weeks comp' over at Scrapbook Essentials.I am relly happy with it's.And since i showed it to Max he has started to better at getting dressed in the mornings.LOL.So now I have to create one about staying at the table while we are eating.Oh and 1 about listening to Mum and Dad.LOL.
